The Colonial Quarter presents two evenings of music over the 2016 Labor Day weekend. The Los Angeles-based band, Trapdoor Social, will play at the Colonial Oak stage in two free concerts on Sunday, September 4, and Monday (Labor Day), September 5, 2016, beginning at 7 p.m. each night.

This emo alt-pop band was formed by duo Merritt Graves and Skylar Funk, who released their first EP, Death of a Friend, in 2012. The group has added three new musicians since that time (Louie Gonzalez, Patrick Griffen, and Ben Ebert), and they are currently touring in support of their new LP release.

Trapdoor Social is known for their commitment to the environment; they power their shows using solar panels that also line their tour van. They have been compared to Artctic Monkeys, Young the Giant, and Radiohead.

Admission: FREE

When: Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5, 2016, at 7 p.m.

Where: The Colonial Oak Stage is located inside the Colonial Quarter at 33 St. George Street.
