In partnership with Edible Northeast Florida Magazine and the US Green Building Council, the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division will present the inaugural Green Hands Sustainability Series, with two free and family-friendly events on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, 2016.

Saturday's event, the Green Hands Sustainability Fest, will take place at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre beginning at 4 p.m. Activities will focus on water and other natural resource issues in our region. Local non-profit organizations will be on hand, including the GTM Research Reserve, Keepers of the Coast, Giving Greens, Matazas Riverkeeper, and Whitney Laboratory.

Live entertainment on Saturday will be provided by Aslyn and the Naysayers, Kenny and The Jets, Teresa Rose and Ghost Tropic. There will also be food trucks and other vendors on site as well. The event will finish with an 8 p.m. screening of "Tapped," the award-winning documentary that goes behind the scenes to explore the unregulated bottled water industry and the role that it plays on our health, on climate change, and our reliance on oil.

On the following day, Sunday, June 26, 2016, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will host the Green Hands Sustainability Soiree, which will also feature activities highlighting conservation issues, a free screening of "Tapped," and various local organizations dedicated to preserving the resources of northeast Florida. Live entertainment will be provided by local musician Chelsea Saddler, and there will be a Whole Foods Market Wine and Cheese Reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday's screening of "Tapped" will begin at 6 p.m.

When: On Saturday, June 25, 2016, the gates at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will open at 4 p.m. The screening of "Tapped" will take place at 8 p.m. On Sunday, June 26, 2016, the gates of the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will open at 4 p.m., and the "Tapped" screening will begin at 6 p.m.
