The St. Augustine Art Association unveils its new special exhibit, "Our Native Past: First Peoples," on Friday, January 8, 2016, with a gallery reception from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibit run through February 28, 2016.

This art and archaeology exhibit features 16th-century artifacts discovered by City Archaeologist Carl Halbirt and his team in an excavation at the St. Augustine Art Association site. The exhibit will include fine art tribal portraits by Theodore Morris.

Admission to the exhibit is free, and will be on display in the Marguerita Phillips Gallery at the St. Augustine Art Association Gallery through February 28, 2016. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.
