A Ride for the Wild Side

Go for the wild side and support Florida state parks on this charity ride during Bike Week.

On Sunday, March 6, 2016, the Florida Park Service is hosting a charity Ride For the Wild Side event to help support park programs. This event is part of Bike Week, which takes place in Daytona Beach from March 4 through 13, 2016.

Bikers can enjoy riding to five state parks. The event begins at Tomoka State Park, and also includes Bulow Creek State Park, North Peninsula State Park, Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, and Anastasia State Park. The ride will finish with a party from 2 - 4 p.m. at Anastasia State Park. Live music, food, alcohol for purchase, and prizes will feature at the party.

Admission to the ride covers park entrance fees, food, a poker hand, and a chance drawing.

To win prizes for the best and worst poker hands, riders must visit all five state parks and have their hands in at Anastasia State Park by 2:30 p.m.

Admission: $20. Visit here to register, or register from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the day of the event at Tomoka State Park.

When? Sunday, March 6, 2016, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where? Various state parks, beginning with Tomoka State Park at 2099 N Beach Street, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, and ending at Anastasia State Park at 300 Anastasia Park Road, St. Augustine, FL 32080.
