Music industry icon Roger McGuinn will play at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

Please Note: This event is from 2019

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents iconic folk/rock singer and co-founder of The Byrds Roger McGuinn in a live concert on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

McGuinn has been part of some of the most influential folk musical acts of the twentieth century. He played the guitar and banjo for the Limeliters, Chad Mitchell Trio, and Bobby Darin. He began to set folk songs to rock beats in the coffee shops of Greenwich Village. He then moved to Los Angeles and continued to develop his folk-rock sound.

In 1964, McGuinn co-founded The Byrds with Gene Clark and David Crosby. The Byrds released significant singles like "Turn, Turn, Turn," "Eight Miles High," and "Mr. Tambourine Man." After The Byrds disbanded, he began his solo career and continued to hone his signature sound on his12-string Rickenbacker. McGuinn is also working on his Folk Den Project, which offers a new folk song to users monthly. The project also offers users a descriptive paragraph about the song, the song lyrics, guitar chords, and related images. In 2002, Treasures From the Folk Den was nominated for a GRAMMY. He continues to release folk recordings to his website and tour extensively.
