With their most recent album, True Sadness, The Avett Brothers return to mainstream rootsiness.

Rolling Stone Magazine named the band the "Artist to Watch" in 2009. Also that year, their hit single "I and Love and You" debuted and peaked at #16 on the Billboard Top 200. In 2012, they reached #4 on the Billboard Top 200 with "The Carpenter." They have appeared several times on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Show with David Letterman.
