The National Park Service and the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTMNERR) will offer a Matanzas Inlet Guided Hike on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Participants will be led through the Matanzas Inlet shores while they learn about inlet dynamics and movements of sand. The tour includes fascinating information about seashells, sea birds, coquina rock, dune vegetation, heavy minerals, mollusks, the habits of crabs, and the ever-changing shoreline.

Where: Participants can meet their guide at the Matanzas Inlet Parking Lot, located just north of the Inlet bridge and the town of Marineland, at 8655 A1A S, St. Augustine, FL 32080.

The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve is a protected stretch of land consisting of wetlands, estuaries, and more on Florida's East Coast that actively works to maintain and help preserve the natural landscape of Florida.
