Sue Seymour Westcott smiling, with her fiddle

Sue Seymour Westcott

With a bow in her hand and more than five decades playing the violin, fiddle, and mandolin.

Classically trained at the Julliard School of Music, Westcott has utilized her skills in country, bluegrass, rock, pop, and of course, classical music. She says that her comfort zone is holding the fiddle, as she shares her expertise with various groups around town. Formerly from Hawaii, Westcott's custom-made fiddle reflects the images of the island of Maui and its culture, with a Tiki icon, a turtle, waves, and an inlaid gecko.

As she settles into St. Augustine to call home, Westcott has found a place to thrive as she meets bands and artists who inspire her, and whom she inspires. As a freelance artist, she has played the gamut of stages and genres, with artists from Led Zepplin to Barry Manilow, from Chet Atkins to Rod Stewart, and from B.B. King to Harry Connick, Jr.
