The Romanza Festivale presents Jonathan Dotson, one of Northeast Florida's premier guitarists, performing in several duos in three sets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024. The concert will be held outside in St. Cyprian's courtyard, known as "The Commons."

Jonathan has chosen duos for a guitar and another instrument written by several composers. For the first act, Jonathan is joined by pianist Tom Bennett, performing selections from Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez.  Jonathan and flutist Kathleen James will perform Tangos and Habaneras for flute and guitar by Astor Piazzolla from Argentina and Maurice Ravel from France. For the final set of the performance, guitarist Dennis Fermin will join Jonathan as they play several rumbas and tangos. 

Guests are asked to bring their own chairs.

Where: St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church is located at 37 Lovett St. in the Lincolnville area of St. Augustine.

This event is part of the Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts, an annual festival of two weeks of historical, cultural, and creative events celebrating all things St. Augustine. From May 3 -19,  the nation's oldest city will be jam-packed with music and dance concerts, living history events and historical tours, live theater, and art exhibits.
