Under the re-opening of the Spanish Bakery some new menu items have been added and they are now accepting Credit Cards!
The Spanish Bakery nestled away in St Augustine's downtown historic district offers homemade baked bread and delicious food for lunch every day.
The oven is fired up every morning around 3 a.m. so all the bread is freshly made! This restaurant has been a staple in St. Augustine for over 35 years! They are tucked away in a garden off St. George Street.
Here you can order empanadas, large sausage rolls, homemade soups, cookies, coffee, other various lunch items and drinks. Some new additions to the bakery's menu will be chicken, vegetarian, sweet potato and apple empanadas, plus Minorcan and datil pepper products.
Warm, homemade bread is always available for purchase to enjoy at home! Outside seating is available, so you can make a quick stop on your day of sightseeing.
The Spanish Bakery stays true to its roots of St. Augustine with a stone hearth oven, a separate wood siding smoke house (a British innovation), and a Spanish style white stucco shingled-roof.
