The Spanish Bakery is a St. George Street eatery featuring freshly baked goods for a snack, lunch, or dinner. The Spanish Bakery nestled away in St Augustine's downtown historic district offers homemade baked bread, Spanish goods, soups, cookies, hot sauce and more. The oven is fired up every morning around 3 a.m. so all the bread is freshly made. This restaurant has been a staple in St. Augustine for over 40 years. They are tucked away in a garden off St. George Street.
Visitors and locals can order empanadas, large sausage rolls, homemade soups, cookies, coffee, and other various lunch items and drinks. Some new additions to the bakery's menu will be chicken, vegetarian, sweet potato, and apple empanadas, plus Minorcan and datil pepper products.
