The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Heritage Center presents a screening of the Emmy-award-winning documentary, Little Satchmo, on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The film focuses on Louis Armstrong's private life, based on a memoir by Armstrong's only child, Sharon Preston-Folta.

Sharon was the child of a 20-year love affair between Armstong and Lucille "Sweets" Preston. While she was raised as a secret, Sharon and her mother were supported by Armstrong who maintained a loving relationship with his daughter. The film focuses on the private side of Louis Armstrong, and themes of family, identity, fathers and daughters, and single-parent families.

Admission: $15.00 per person. Tickets are available online here.

When: Friday, April 26, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Upstairs, at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, 102 Martin Luther King Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.

Free parking is available in the front and back of the building and paid parking is available at a lot across Martin Luther King Avenue. The entrance to the second-floor room is off Pomar Street. There is an elevator.
